Electrical Internal Installation Inspection Specification

As Yılkomer, we have summarized the issues we pay attention to during inspections below as items in the nature of a specification.

Electrical Internal Installation Inspection Specification items:

1. Machine, socket, and equipment groundings must be measured from the metal bodies of the machines using the loop impedance method and reported.
2. Based on the impedance value measured with the loop impedance method, possible fault current values must be calculated, compared with the fault current values of the protective devices, checked for suitability, and reported.
3. Continuity measurement between machine body groundings must be carried out, and it must be checked and reported that the grounding line reaches every metal part of the machine properly.
4. All devices and equipment to be used in measurements must have calibration certificates issued by a laboratory with TÜRKAK accreditation and must be submitted before starting the measurements.
5. Tanks, lightning rods, transformer operating and protective groundings, and static plates must be measured using the 3-pole or 4-pole ground resistance measurement method and reported.
6. While measuring the grounding of the lightning protection installation, the down conductors must be disconnected from the test clamp.
7. Inspections of the lightning protection installation must be carried out in accordance with TSE EN 62305 and reported.
8. The lightning rod coverage area project must be checked and reported whether it is sufficient.
9. Other requirements of the lightning protection installation in accordance with TSE EN 62305 (surge arrester, equipotential system, etc.) must be inspected and reported.
10. The tripping currents and tripping times of all residual current devices in the facility must be tested and reported.
11. International standards and standards accepted in Türkiye must be taken as reference in the evaluation of measurement results.
12. Electrical panel groundings must be measured separately from the grounding bar and the panel door and reported.
13. Visual inspections of electrical panels must be carried out with reference to standards accepted in Türkiye and reported. (Panel grounding resistance, suitability of protective equipment, insulation mat in front of the panel with appropriate characteristics, all parts that require insulation such as bare conductors or busbars, panel door grounding, etc.)
14. Thermal measurements of electrical distribution panels must be carried out and reported with real and thermal photographs.
15. Energy quality measurement must be performed on the main distribution panels at the transformer output and automatically reported in accordance with EN 50160, the international Low Voltage Standard.
