End-to-end engineering in lightning protection
HOW WE WORK
Protecting a facility from lightning doesn't end with installing a single air terminal on the roof. External lightning protection, internal lightning protection, grounding, and equipotential bonding are four interconnected layers; if one is missing, the performance of the others also decreases. As Yılkomer, we approach every project with this holistic view, determining what is needed at each layer through risk analysis.
We manage the entire process—from discovery, risk analysis, project design, material supply, implementation, measurement, and periodic inspection—under a single responsibility. This way, there is no lost work during transitions, mismatched equipment, or unassigned responsibility.

A lightning protection system may be mandatory depending on the regulations you are subject to and the type of building. Additionally, the need for protection under TS EN 62305 is determined by risk analysis. We clarify which obligations apply to you during the site survey.

Partially. A lightning rod is only the external lightning protection layer; it does not provide protection against overvoltage coming through lines. For the protection of your devices, a low-voltage surge protection system, proper grounding, and equipotential bonding are also required.

By measurement. Visual inspection does not reveal a corroded connection, a cut conductor, or increased grounding resistance. With our measurement and control service, we report the current status.

Yes. Lightning protection installations are subject to periodic inspection as per regulations. Additionally, surge arresters are consumable components; their condition must be monitored regularly.
