RSE 3 Series
Raycap RSE 3 Series are Type 1 and Type 2 (filtered) Surge Protection Devices (SPD) used at the building service entrance and distribution panel level. The optional advanced monitoring unit offers a color touchscreen LCD, real-time power quality measurement, event log, and remote monitoring via SNMP / web interface.
RSE 3 Series products are Type 1 and Type 2 (filtered) surge protection devices that can be used at the building service entrance and/or at the distribution panel level. With the optional rotary disconnect, the device's power can be safely cut off.
A distinguishing feature of the series is the optional advanced monitoring unit. Real-time voltage, current, and power quality data can be viewed via the full-color touchscreen LCD, and a date and time-stamped event log is maintained. Since the unit can connect to the network via an embedded web page or SNMP protocol, data can be monitored remotely. User-defined alarm thresholds can be set, and the remaining protection percentage can be tracked — meaning the remaining lifespan of the surge arrester is not estimated, but read directly on the screen.
The product utilizes a stacked MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor) design; this structure ensures balanced current sharing among protection elements, increasing the total current carrying capacity. The NEMA 4 metal enclosure is designed to withstand outdoor conditions. It is offered with terminal connections or integrated disconnect options.

The RSE 3 Series is preferred in critical facilities where protection needs to be monitored and reported:
- Building service entrance (main panel) — First-level protection
- Main distribution panels — Critical points feeding the entire facility
- Data centers — Connectivity to existing monitoring infrastructure with SNMP integration
- Industrial facilities and production lines — Monitoring and reporting of power quality issues
- Hospitals and critical infrastructure facilities — Systems requiring continuous monitoring of protection status
- Remotely managed facilities — Sites without constant technical personnel presence
- Facilities experiencing power quality issues — Root cause analysis via event logs
- Facilities with maintenance contracts — Data usable for periodic reporting
- Outdoor installations — External building mounting thanks to NEMA 4 enclosure
