ProTec T1SF
The Raycap ProTec T1SF Series is a Surge Protective Device (SPD) that combines proprietary Phase-GDT (PGDT) technology with an integrated backup fuse. It saves panel space, wiring time, and cost by not requiring an external fuse; it can be installed in the pre-metering area as it does not generate leakage current.
The Raycap ProTec T1SF Series combines proprietary Phase Gas Discharge Tube (PGDT) technology with newly developed integrated overcurrent technology. The products provide safe thermal and fault current disconnection in networks where the prospective short-circuit current ranges from low values like 300 A to high values like 75,000 A.
A key advantage of SPD with integrated fuses is that the thermal disconnector and the fuse's tripping characteristics are coordinated. Establishing this coordination with a separate external fuse is the installer's responsibility and is often done incorrectly in practice; with T1SF, this coordination is resolved at the factory. The result is safer and more predictable protection behavior against fault currents.
Eliminating the external backup fuse saves space in the panel, reducing wiring time, installation complexity, and overall cost. Shorter connection cables also improve the voltage protection level. Since the product does not generate leakage current, it can be installed in the pre-metering area. Device status can be monitored via both visual indication and remote signaling.

ProTec T1SF excels in installations where external fuse coordination is to be avoided:
- Pre-metering installation points — Suitable due to no leakage current
- Compact distribution panels — Space saving as no external fuse space is required
- Networks with low short-circuit currents — Safe disconnection even at values as low as 300 A
- Networks with high short-circuit currents — Up to 75,000 A
- Series-produced panel lines — Reduced wiring time and installation complexity
- Residential and commercial building entrances — Standard entrance panel protection
- Renovation projects — Situations where fuse space is unavailable in existing panels
- Remotely monitored facilities — Remote signaling capability
