ProTec T2-CM-E
The Raycap ProTec T2-CM-E is a compact Surge Protection Device (SPD) offering Type 2 and high-grade Type 3 protection. With its pluggable design, only 9 mm wide per pole, it is one of the most space-efficient solutions for panel installations. It is available with 275 V and 440 V operating voltage options.
The ProTec T2-CM-E provides basic protection as a Type 2 and high-grade Type 3 surge protection device. It is available with 275 V and 440 V continuous operating voltage (Uc) options.
The product's most distinctive feature is its pluggable design with a width of 9 mm per pole. While a standard DIN module is 17.5 mm, the T2-CM-E occupies approximately half that space. This provides a decisive advantage in installations where module space within the panel is critical—especially when adding protection to existing panels.
Its combined Type 2 and Type 3 functionality reduces the need for two separate devices in a cascaded protection setup. The discharge capacity extends up to Imax 20 kA in L-N mode and 40 kA in N-PE mode; short-circuit current withstand is 25 kA. Each module, including N-PE modules, features a green/red operating status indicator on its front. Optional remote contact (RC) signaling allows for remote status monitoring.
