ProTec T1
Raycap's ProTec T1 solutions are IEC Class I and II / EN Type 1 and 2 and UL Type 1CA approved Surge Protective Devices (SPDs), offered in a wide operating voltage range from 75 V to 750 V.
Raycap's ProTec T1 series consists of IEC Class I and II / EN Type 1 and 2 and UL Type 1CA approved Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) designed for use in main distribution boards. Offered in a wide operating voltage range from 75 V to 750 V, the product family is manufactured with 1+0, 2+0, 3+0, 4+0, 1+1, and 3+1 module configurations suitable for various network systems such as TN-S, TN-C, and TT.
Thanks to its pluggable modular design, the ProTec T1 facilitates maintenance and module replacement while offering quick installation on a 35 mm DIN rail. The device provides reliable protection against high-energy lightning and grid voltage fluctuations with an impulse current withstand capability of up to 12.5 kA (10/350 µs), a response time under 25 ns, and a short-circuit current withstand capability of up to 50 kA.
The integrated thermal disconnector safely deactivates the device when the varistor (MOV) reaches its end-of-life, eliminating fire risk; a green/red status indicator on the front of each module allows for immediate visual monitoring of fault conditions. With a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C, IP20 protection class, and vibration/shock resistance, the ProTec T1 is designed for long-lasting operation in harsh industrial and field conditions. An optional remote contact (RC) module allows the device status to be transmitted to remote monitoring systems like SCADA/BMS.

The ProTec T1 is designed for use in main distribution boards to provide protection against lightning and grid-induced overvoltages in low-voltage AC power lines. With module options suitable for various earthing/network systems such as TN-S, TN-C, and TT, it is widely preferred in the following areas:
- Building main electrical distribution boards (commercial office buildings, shopping malls, residences)
- Power distribution systems in industrial facilities and manufacturing plants
- AC supply lines of telecommunication base stations and field equipment
- Low-voltage networks of energy and infrastructure facilities
- Electrical infrastructure of transportation and public transport systems
In short, it can be used at any low-voltage AC distribution point where sensitive electrical/electronic equipment needs protection from voltage surges caused by lightning strikes or grid switching operations.
