INGESCO PDC is an Early Streamer Emission (ESE) air terminal developed for the lightning protection of structures and open areas.
The air terminal generates an upward ionized particle flow when the atmospheric potential rises and directs the resulting electrical discharge towards itself from its source. The body design distributes the electric field along the head, ensuring a more controlled and efficient leader channel emission; thus expanding the protected area and reducing the probability of strikes in the immediate vicinity.
The product's performance is defined by its Δt value. Δt indicates the triggering advantage compared to a conventional air terminal and allows for the calculation of the protection radius according to NF C 17-102:2011, UNE 21186:2011, and NP 4426:2013 standards.
INGESCO PDC includes a dual ESE system: an early streamer device that generates upward emission, an electro-atmospheric capacitor, and an atmospheric accelerator. The insulation system is certified by the General Laboratory of Tests and Investigations of Catalonia (LGAI).
The body is made of AISI 316L stainless steel, and the ESE system is made of AISI 316L stainless steel and polyamide PA66. The product contains no electronic components, requires no external power, and has no replaceable parts — therefore, it is maintenance-free and retains its original characteristics after each discharge.
