Electric vehicle charging stations and energy storage systems frequently use technologies such as fast charging or battery storage systems, especially in DC applications. These battery-related technologies require high-level protection solutions.
Unlike AC voltage, DC voltage has no zero crossing, therefore the resulting electric arcs cannot be extinguished automatically. As a result, fires can easily start.
With the new ProBloc B 1000 DC (Raycap, UL Type 2 CA certified), we offer a future-proof product for a wide range of DC sources. Its key features include a compact design and a unique patented disconnecting device with a rotating mechanism capable of safely extinguishing switching arcs. Thanks to its high self-extinguishing capability, a possible short-circuit current of 50 kA can be disconnected, as in storage systems.
