IEC 62305 standard compliant lightning protection project and design for Akkim Uf Hallow Fibre facility, designed according to the rolling sphere method for risk 1, has been prepared by the Lightning Protection Center.

The project used 8-meter insulated Lightning Protection Systems and an Insulated Down Conductor system. The project, fully designed in accordance with IEC standards, paid attention to S protection distances, and potential differences on the roof and ground were eliminated. Spark Gap surge arresters were used to equipotentialize the down conductor systems.
