AC End-Device Protection

ProBloc EV T2

Raycap ProBloc EV T2 is a Type 2+3 Surge Protective Device (SPD) specifically designed for electric vehicle AC charging systems. Thanks to its V-connection structure suitable for in-line mounting, it is directly integrated into the charging unit's power supply.

As electric vehicle charging infrastructure rapidly expands, the protection of these investments is often overlooked. A charging unit is a sensitive device containing power electronics, control boards, communication modules, and a measurement system. An impulse induced in the supply line by a nearby lightning strike is sufficient to disable this electronics.

ProBloc EV T2 is designed precisely for this risk. Businesses and homeowners can secure both their investments and facilities with this purpose-built protection device. The product is specifically configured for today's AC charging systems.

The device provides Type 2 + Type 3 protection, meaning it offers both residual voltage protection at the distribution level and final stage protection at the device input in a single housing. The V-connection structure enables in-line mounting — the protection is directly integrated into the supply line.

It is offered in a 3+1 configuration for TN-S and TT network systems, with a Uc value of 300 V. The discharge capacity is 10 kA in L-N mode and 40 kA in N-PE mode; short-circuit current withstand is 10 kA. Versions with/without mounting ears and with/without remote contact are available.
