AMPERTECH is an active lightning arrester head of the Early Streamer Emission (ESE) type.
According to the manufacturer's description, the device aims to capture lightning, transmit it to the ground via installation components, and dissipate the energy in the ground.
ESE lightning arresters are based on the principle of protecting a wider area by initiating the upward leader channel earlier than classic Franklin rods. The protection radius is calculated according to the device's early triggering time (ΔT), mounting height, and the selected protection level.
