Available in two versions: 30-A-2CHV for AC power protection and 30-V1-2CHV for DC power protection. Two protection modes in one housing provide significant panel space savings while maintaining high protection performance.
Each protection mode features a single, heavy-duty, distribution-grade metal oxide varistor (MOV) disk, pressure-mounted and hermetically sealed within an aluminum housing against environmental effects. This design ensures very low internal contact resistance, superior thermal management, and uniform distribution of surge current across the entire surface of the protective element. The result is extremely high energy absorption capacity and a correspondingly very low let-through voltage.
The Strikesorb design minimizes aging effects and completely eliminates the risk of sudden failure, explosion, and fire common in traditional surge protective devices that rely on internal fuses and thermal disconnectors. The device is designed to withstand successive surges, providing maintenance-free and cost-effective operation in demanding field conditions.
