Cross Connection Clamp L-65
The Gromtor L-65 cross connection clamp is used for cross and T-type connections of Ø8–10 mm round conductors. With its enlarged 65 × 65 mm body, it offers a wider contact surface and higher mechanical strength.
The L-65 functions identically to the L-55; the distinction is its body size: 65 × 65 mm instead of 55 × 55 mm. This larger size offers two advantages.
First, contact surface area. The wider plate creates a longer contact line with the conductor, which reduces connection resistance and minimizes heating during impulse current.
Second, mechanical strength. As the distance between the bolts increases, the plate behaves more rigidly, and the pressure applied to the conductor is distributed more evenly. This makes it harder for the connection to loosen over time in vibrating structures and on roofs subjected to wind loads.
In practice, the preference is typically as follows: L-55 for standard roof and earthing connections, and L-65 for critical transition points and harsh mechanical conditions. Four M8 × 25 bolts are common to both models.
The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 62561 and meets IEC 62305 system requirements.
