Cross Connection Clamp L-65 — With Intermediate Plate

The Gromtor L-65 cross clamp with intermediate plate is used for cross and T-type connections of Ø8–10 mm round conductors. It offers an enlarged 65 × 65 mm body with an intermediate plate design — the most durable connection solution in the series.

This model combines two distinct features of the cross clamp family in a single product: enlarged body and intermediate plate.

The 65 × 65 mm body establishes a longer contact line with the conductor and distributes pressure more evenly due to the increased distance between bolts. This makes it harder for the connection to loosen over time under vibration and wind load.

The intermediate plate prevents direct contact between two conductors. This prevents galvanic corrosion initiated by direct contact at points where conductors of different materials need to be joined. It also ensures balanced pressure transfer when joining conductors of different diameters.

The resulting usage profile when both are combined is clear: environments that are both mechanically stressed and corrosive. Industrial facilities near the sea, marina and shipyard roofs, and coastal wind and solar power plants fall into this category. In these locations, it is recommended to use it with the V4A material option.

The product is manufactured in accordance with IEC 62561 standard and meets IEC 62305 system requirements.
