As you know, in surge protector installation, cable length and quantity are among the most important factors that directly affect and degrade the protection level. Since no additional backup fuse is used, avoiding extra cabling raises the protection level to the maximum. Protec T1SF provides safe protection against possible short-circuit currents from 300 A up to 75,000 A. It features a coordinated thermal protection circuit.

You can continuously monitor the PROTEC T1SF Series remotely. If the integrated fuse fails, PROTEC T1SF shuts down, which can be observed via the red signal indicator. The product and the fuse can be monitored and controlled separately.

Our PROTEC T1SF surge protection products feature patented phase gas discharge tube technology. Our technology, which we briefly refer to as PGDT, consists of multi-cell encapsulated GDTs. All the characteristics of voltage-limiting and voltage-switching surge protectors are combined in a single product. Voltage-switching technology suppresses high residual voltages within nanoseconds. With MOV and GDT integration, the product responds much faster than conventional varistor-based products and provides protection against all possible surges. And it delivers all this in a size that is half that of competing products, with an integrated fuse.
