Insulated Rooftop Conductor Holder (Roof Block), within the scope of IEC 62305 standard, in insulated lightning protection projects established with passive systems, insulated roof block systems are lightning protection equipment used to route the conductor on the roof and provide insulation. Considering that roof blocks will carry conductors on the roof for many years, their quality must comply with standards. The product must tightly clamp the lightning-carrying conductor and prevent arc formation during possible strikes.
Roof block products are easily installed without drilling or screwing onto the roof. Special adhesives are applied under the roof block products. These adhesive products prevent the roof block from slipping.
Roof blocks, also referred to as Insulated Line Holders, are available in Yılkomer stocks under the Gromtor brand. The quality of the products and their aesthetic appearance within the lightning protection system are important for long-term protection.
With roof blocks, Q8 and Q10 bare down conductors, insulated lightning down conductors, and galvanized strip products can be routed on the roof.
