SafeTec T2 and SafeTube T2
Raycap SafeTec T2 and SafeTube T2 are VDE-IEC Class II / EN Type 2 certified Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) developed for AC systems. Thanks to their unique thermal control (TC) technology, they continue to operate without interrupting the power supply even when the device reaches its end-of-life.
SafeTec T2 and SafeTube T2 are pluggable single-pole and multi-pole surge protective devices developed for applications requiring VDE-IEC Class II / EN Type 2 certified protection in AC systems.
The most distinctive feature of the series is Raycap's unique thermal control (TC) technology. Thanks to this technology, when the device reaches its end-of-life, the power supply to the protected equipment is not interrupted. In classic surge arresters, when the thermal disconnector activates, power outages can occur in some circuit configurations; with SafeTec T2, this risk is eliminated. In facilities where interruption is unacceptable, this directly translates to operational continuity.
The product also features high temporary overvoltage (TOV) immunity. While standard surge arresters can be damaged by long-term voltage increases caused by neutral breaks in the grid, SafeTec T2 is designed to withstand these conditions. It offers a maximum operating voltage of up to 880 V, a maximum discharge current (Imax) of 50 kA, and short-circuit current withstand capability of up to 50 kA.
