ProTec T2

Raycap ProTec T2 – DIN rail mounted VDE-IEC Class 2 / EN Type II Surge Protection Device (SPD) in a pluggable housing. Available in a wide operating voltage range from 75 V to 750 V, forming the second stage of cascaded protection.

ProTec T2 – DIN rail mounted VDE-IEC Class 2 / EN Type II surge protection devices, offered in a pluggable form factor. Products are UL Type 1CA certified and/or have Open Type 1 SPD listing.

Type 2 devices form the second stage of a cascaded protection setup. While a Type 1 device in the main panel handles a portion of the lightning current, Type 2 devices in sub-panels limit the remaining residual voltage and grid-induced switching surges. Type 3 completes the final stage for sensitive electronics at the device input.

ProTec T2 provides high impulse current capacity via a single varistor (MOV) and is available in a wide operating voltage range from 75 V to 750 V. The precise and state-of-the-art thermal disconnector safely deactivates the device when the varistor reaches its end of life. Each module, including N-PE modules, features a green/red operating status indicator on its front. Remote status monitoring is possible with optional remote contact (RC) signaling. Its vibration and shock resistance ensure reliable operation in harsh field conditions.
