NGESCO Franklin Air Terminals
Franklin-type air terminals certified according to IEC 62305-3, IEC 62561-1, and IEC 62561-2 standards. Copper and stainless steel, Ø16 and Ø20 mm, 300–2000 mm length options. 100 kA (10/350 µs) impulse current tested.
Franklin air terminals are the classic and most common solution used for the external lightning protection of structures.
They can be used as standalone air terminals or applied as a complement to the conductive mesh (Faraday cage) system. Conductors are connected to each other to form a conductive mesh or Faraday cage.
The products are certified according to IEC 62305-3, IEC 62561-1, and IEC 62561-2 standards. The certification includes 100 kA (10/350 µs) lightning impulse current testing, corrosion resistance testing in a salt spray chamber, and mechanical resistance tests.
Available in two materials, copper and stainless steel; with diameters of Ø16 mm and Ø20 mm, and six length options ranging from 300 mm to 2000 mm. Different sizes and materials can be produced upon request.
Installation is done by direct connection to a pole with an adapter head.
