Air-Termination Rods and Isolated Systems

INGESCO Base-Mounted Air Terminal Set

Multi-air terminal set with a flat base. No need for pole and anchor installation. 1 m and 2 m base height, copper terminals, copper-plated or galvanized steel base. Approved dimensions for use in substations.

The base-mounted air terminal set is a product that offers a flat base and multiple air terminals in a single set.

The most significant advantage of the set is that it does not require poles or anchors. The base plate is screwed directly to the structure, eliminating the need for separate pole procurement, installation, and tension anchoring.

The set includes a 500 mm main air terminal and four auxiliary air terminals. The terminals are made of copper, and the base is made of copper-plated or galvanized steel.

The product operates on the principle of the point discharge effect. During a storm, an electro-atmospheric field forms between the cloud and the ground. Around the Franklin rod, natural ionization (corona effect) occurs due to energy transfer. This phenomenon is the excitation principle that facilitates the formation of a conductive channel, enabling lightning discharge.

It can be used as a standalone air terminal system or as a component of conductive mesh and Faraday cage systems.

Its dimensions are approved for use in electrical substations.
