Replacement of Radioactive Lightning Rods
30 April 2016Ensuring the S Separation Distance in Rooftop Conductor Systems
3 May 2016Solar power plants are spreading very rapidly in our country. Along with PV systems, LED lighting and camera, CCTV systems used within the plant also become targets for lightning impulses. Highly sensitive cameras and LEDs must be protected with Class D surge protectors that provide sensitive protection.
Camera systems in PV plants are protected differently depending on whether the camera is IP or analog. Since CCTV systems are highly sensitive, they can only be fully protected with a cascaded protection system. This means that protection must be provided using B+C class devices in main panels, Class C devices in sub-panels, and finally Class D devices in front of the cameras.

LED lighting is frequently used in lighting PV plants due to its many advantages. However, LED lighting systems containing many electronic components are systems that frequently fail due to surge impulses. The weakest part of LED lighting systems is their drivers. These electronic systems have a very sensitive structure and may be damaged by incoming overvoltage impulses. Therefore, both the panel supplying power to the LED and the LED driver must be protected with surge protectors.
