Put an end to modem damage caused by lightning with Raytel 10! Damage to modems as a result of lightning strikes is very common throughout our country due to the increase in the number of lightning strikes. Impulses coming from the Modem Ethernet or RJ11 Line inputs cause modems to be damaged at the nanosecond level. While the internet is of vital importance for many facilities, not providing protection against lightning strikes with a simple precaution appears as great negligence. The Raycap Raytel 10 TYPE 3 AC Surge Arrester series is connected in series to the line entering the modem, absorbs and suppresses a possible sudden overvoltage impulse in less than 5 ns, and prevents it from being reflected into the system.
Generally, filamentary impulses come from modem lines. As a matter of fact, if a 100 kA lightning strike came from that line, the cable would be expected to completely melt. What happens here is that modems are damaged by being induced with filamentary impulses. The Raycap Raytel 10 surge arrester series can very easily suppress even the most sensitive impulses with its 5 kA protection level and Up protection value below 300 V.
There is no interruption in the system while Raytel 10 is operating. However, if our product is damaged as a result of lightning, the internet is cut off since the device itself is damaged. When the product is removed, the modem continues to operate.
