In recent months, the Birtaş Cable Production facility narrowly escaped a serious hazard after being struck by lightning. Many electrical components within the facility were damaged by the lightning impact.
Following the inspection and assessment, the expert team of the Lightning Protection Center secured all electrical equipment in the facility with an LV surge protection system. In addition, an external lightning protection system was installed to safeguard the facility against the physical effects of lightning.
A comprehensive equipotential bonding network was also established around the entire facility. We wish the Birtaş Kablo family a successful working life — without fear of lightning.
