About GÜNDER
GÜNDER continues its activities with the aim of developing science and technology in the application of solar energy, encouraging basic and applied research and development in solar energy, promoting the widespread use of solar energy, and supporting education in fields related to solar energy.
Today, GÜNDER is one of Turkey’s important non-governmental organizations, consisting of administrators and personnel of public institutions, university faculty members, industrialists operating in the solar energy sector, and volunteers passionate about solar energy. Legal entities and individuals operating within the scope of the association’s objectives and activities, and who have no legal obstacles to membership, may become members of the association .
In November 2013, GÜNDER further strengthened its position by incorporating the National Photovoltaic Technology Platform (UFTP) into its structure. Thanks to the GÜNDER-UFTP merger, it was aimed to continue studies related to photovoltaic technologies under the UFTP brand and to carry out Turkey’s representation activities within the International Energy Agency – Photovoltaic Power Systems unit under the umbrella of GÜNDER.
