As the Lightning Protection Center, we have secured the Türkiye Petrolleri Natural Gas Storage Facility against lightning and transient surge impulses.
The Energy Panels and Automation Systems at the facility were protected with LV Surge Protection systems based on our detailed inspection. The radio communication systems located throughout the facility were also secured.
In the Tank Area, a Protection Zone was created according to the Rolling Sphere Method and in compliance with IEC 62305 standards, using passive air terminals and isolated down-conductor systems.
The grounding system, in which ex-proof special products imported from Germany and spark-gap technology were used, achieved a grounding resistance of 0.83 ohms — a benchmark-level application.
