ISTANBUL METROS ARE PROTECTED BY YILKOMER
Ensuring sustainable operation in rail systems is crucial—both for maximizing public benefit and for preventing operational disruptions for service providers. Track-to-ground faults, lightning, sudden voltage surges, and braking impulses can disable sensitive systems operating at voltages up to 1500 V DC.
Within this scope, Istanbul Metro Lines have been protected against surges and system faults through LV SURGE PROTECTION (AG PARAFUDR) systems provided by the Lightning Protection Center.
