About Serdar Aksoy
The founder of Yılkomer Lightning Protection Center, Serdar Aksoy, was born in Ankara in 1986.
After completing his undergraduate education at Yıldız Technical University, Department of Electrical Engineering, he successfully completed the MBA program at the same university.
Between 2010 and 2014, he worked at the German company OBO Bettermann as Lightning Protection Systems Product Group Manager; during the same period, he also served as Vice President of Yılkoder (Lightning Protection Association).
In 2014, he founded the Yılkomer Lightning Protection Center, transferring his technical expertise in the sector into a corporate structure. He also continues to serve as Turkey and Middle East Regional Director of the German company Raycap.
He has made significant contributions in Türkiye in the fields of Low Voltage Surge Arresters, Lightning Protection, and Grounding Systems; he has delivered many seminars and published technical articles. As a board member of the Electrical Installation Engineers Association (ETMD), he contributes to professional development.
Most recently, his work titled “Lightning Protection in Solar Power Plants” was accepted and presented at the International Izmir Electrical Installation Congress.
In addition to his professional career, Aksoy is also interested in music and is the founder of the Maderzat music group.
