How Does the Lightning Prevention System Work?

In addition to all these measures, our lightning prevention system completely eliminates the conditions necessary for lightning formation by reducing ion concentration and preventing strong discharges.

The CMCE Technology was originally patented by Nikola Tesla and is the most advanced version of the technology he pioneered. CMCE Technology is essentially an electric field balancing system. As you know, lightning forms due to the interaction of negative and positive ions. The intensity of the lightning varies depending on whether the discharge is positive or negative. At this point, the lightning prevention system balances the ions concentrated under the cloud with ions rising from the ground, preventing them from combining and eliminating polarization with extremely small milliamp-level discharges. This stops the lightning event entirely before a strong ion union occurs. With CMCE Lightning Prevention Technology, which continually sends ions to the ground before they combine, our goal is to eliminate lightning risks in facilities suffering from chronic lightning issues.

We can also describe the CMCE Lightning Prevention System as an electromagnetic field protector. The multiple electric field compensators on the device form a protective shield within the CMCE coverage area and continuously balance atmospheric ion movement while deionizing the environment. In essence, the CMCE system is passive. Its fundamental working principle is based on balancing and stabilizing the electric field in the protected zone. It eliminates upward ion movement aiming to combine — in other words, it neutralizes the process. The ion movements that cause electric fields are discharged through a grounding system using capillary discharges at milliamp levels, preventing severe lightning strikes.
