Lightning Protection of Analog and IP Cameras
6 March 2016One of the most important factors to consider when calculating the lightning level is determining the lightning protection levels. Based on this, the correct products and applications can be implemented. According to the IEC 62305 standard, lightning protection is divided into 4 levels.
1- Level 1
Covers lightning strikes with a current value of 200 kA. Level 1 considers the scenario with the strongest lightning strikes. In our country, such powerful lightning strikes are rarely observed. Petrochemical facilities located in these regions are classified as high hazard.
2- Level 2
Covers lightning strikes with a current value of 150 kA. Our southern provinces, such as Mersin, Antalya, Burdur, and Aydın, fall into this category. The strikes are strong. Therefore, hospitals, factories, and other facilities in these regions face high risk, and not having lightning protection poses a serious danger.
