While traveling, lightning struck the car of a family journeying from Istanbul to Afyonkarahisar. In the unfortunate incident that would occur once in a million, 3 people narrowly escaped death. The camera footage reflecting those moments has emerged.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Ahmet Dere, who lives in Istanbul, set out on June 14 to travel with his wife and daughter to his hometown, the Bolvadin district of Afyonkarahisar. When they reached near Eski\u015fehir, they continued their journey in heavy rain, and lightning struck the car carrying the Dere family while it was in motion. By sheer luck, the moment of the incident in which Dere and his family escaped without injury was captured on a mobile phone camera.<\/p>\n

After the lightning struck the antenna, due to the high current, the vehicle\u2019s electronic control unit was disabled, and Ahmet Dere and his family narrowly escaped a great danger.<\/p>\n
