After the protection we implemented at one very high-risk site one year ago, we observed exactly 353,669 strikes on the Rayvoss system counter. This was recorded as the highest number of strikes ever captured by a Rayvoss to date. And the system was operating uninterrupted, while the product was as robust as on the first day! Even with such a high number of strikes, RAYVOSS proved itself by protecting the system, and once again demonstrated its reliability across many sites this year!<\/p>\n

In another application we carried out at a strategic location in the Mediterranean region, which receives the highest number of lightning strikes in T\u00fcrkiye, field inspections after one year showed 124,000 strikes recorded on the Rayvoss counter. The system used to suffer damage here every week; however, over the past year, not a single fuse tripped in the system. Given the difficulty of accessing the site, any damage occurring here would have caused many strategic issues for our country. Yet by suppressing over 100,000 lightning strikes, Rayvoss once again proved itself.<\/p>\n

3,000 LIGHTNING STRIKES IN A SINGLE DAY!<\/strong><\/p>\n

One week after we completed an installation at a very challenging site in Antalya, a tower was exposed to supercell clouds\u2014phenomena that have begun to appear in our country in recent years\u2014and a total of 3,140 lightning strikes were recorded in a single day. Lightning occurred in the form of serial discharges, with very long discharges between cloud and ground; no conventional DIN rail surge arrester can provide protection against such strikes. We currently do not know the present lightning counter value at that site, but for 3.5 years our customer has not experienced a single issue; this is where we have the opportunity to feel the pride of engineering.<\/p>\n
