Especially in recent years, with the widespread use of building automation systems, the number of materials in residential complexes that can be damaged by lightning and overvoltage has increased significantly. Therefore, first of all, buildings and people must be protected against lightning with external lightning protection systems. In the <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/yilkomer.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">protection of buildings against lightning<\/a><\/span><\/strong>, the following systems can be used in accordance with standards.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Protection method using a Franklin Rod (<em><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/yilkomer.com\/en\/lightning-air-terminal-franklin-rod\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">air terminal<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Faraday Cage Method and Catenary Wire Method<\/li>\n<li>External lightning protection systems with insulated conductors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>External lightning protection systems protect our facilities and people against the physical effects of lightning. Internal lightning protection (surge arrester) systems protect our electronic systems against overvoltage impulses. For this reason, we recommend using Class B Type 1 surge arresters in the main panel and Class C Type 2 <em><strong>surge arresters<\/strong><\/em> in sub-panels.
