In addition, the integrated structures of CCTV systems such as DVRs and monitors can also be damaged by these impulses. External lightning protection systems only protect against the physical effects of lightning.<\/li>\n<li>Since CCTV systems are highly sensitive, they can only be fully protected with a cascaded protection system. This means that protection should be applied with Class B+C in main panels, Class C in sub-panels, and finally Class D products in front of the cameras.<\/li>\n<li>First of all, the panel supplying power to the camera must be protected. At this point, a <em><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong>B+C surge arrester<\/strong><\/span><\/em> with a minimum capacity of 50 kA will be sufficient.<\/li>\n<li>Then, depending on the type of camera, a Class D <strong>surge arrester<\/strong> providing sensitive protection should be installed in front of the camera.<\/li>\n<li>Grounding and equipotential bonding are indispensable for protection against lightning and surge and are also essential here.
