A lightning strike can affect an area with a radius of up to 2 km from the strike point. According to <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_IEC_standards\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IEC 62305<\/a><\/strong><\/span> standards, lightning rod systems are not recommended; passive air terminals are advised instead. Additionally, lightning rod systems do not provide electrical protection.
